1. GENERAL INFORMATION

Algolab Limited respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in strict compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), 2022 of Tanzania. This policy describes how we collect, use, and share your information when you use the Kimodo App.

2. DATA WE COLLECT

We collect the following types of data:

• Identity Data: Name, username, or similar identifier.
• Contact Data: Email address and telephone number (required for registration and verification).
• Technical Data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, device type, operating system, and usage logs.
• Input Data: Text prompts, images, or documents you upload to the App for AI processing.

3. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING

We process your personal data for the following lawful purposes:

• Service Delivery: To register you as a user and provide the AI content generation services.
• Contractual Necessity: To manage payments, subscriptions, and account settings.
• Legal Compliance: To comply with obligations under the Electronic and Postal Communications Act (EPOCA) and record-keeping requirements.
• Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve our AI models (using anonymized data only).

4. YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT

Under Part VI of the PDPA 2022, you have the following rights:

• Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to Erasure: You may request the deletion of your data where there is no compelling legal reason for us to continue processing it.
• Right to Object: You may object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.
• Automated Decision Making: Under Section 33 of the PDPA, you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing if that decision significantly affects you.

5. DATA SECURITY

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures (including encryption and access controls) to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

6. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFERS

The Kimodo App may utilize cloud servers located outside Tanzania (e.g., AWS, Azure). By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your data to jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws. Algolab Limited ensures such transfers comply with the PDPA by verifying adequate protection standards or obtaining your explicit consent for the transfer necessary to perform the contract.

7. DATA RETENTION

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
